Sails, water, command

Annual competitions in open sailing regatta “JINR Cup 2026” were held on 12-13 September. The regatta was held on the territory of the JINR Yacht Club on the Volga river.

The competition was attended by 34 athletes aged 10 to 51 years, including JINR employees, the citizens and guests of the city. Competitions were held in four test classes: "Optimist", "Cadet", "Luch" and "Luch‑radial". The event was organized by the Sailing Club “Atom” with the support of JINR, the City Administration and Wind Brothers.

The yachtsmen showed the following results.

In the class “Luch” among men, Timur Gridnev took the 1st place, Egor Zaruba took the 2nd place, Alexander Ivankov (FLNP) took the 3rd place.

In the class “Luch-radial” among women, Marina Bazarova won the 1st place, Anna Sumbaeva (UC) won the 2nd place, Svetlana Kubarskaya won the 3rd place.

In the class “Luch-radial” among young men, Yaroslav Fomin won the 1st place, Dmitry Sekretarev won the 2nd place, Denis Sobolev won the 3rd place.

In the class “Luch-radial” among girls, Varvara Mostovoy won the 1st place, Alena Gorobchenko won the 2nd place, Daria Paigacheva won the 3rd place.

In the class “Optimist”, Anastasia Nazarova took the 1st place, Vasily Kudryashov took the 2nd place, Kira Ivankova took the 3rd place.

In the class “Cadet”, the 1st place was won by the team of Evdokia Ivlev, Vasilisa Lesnik, the 2nd - by the team of Alexey Kuzmenkov, Makar Poplavsky, the 3rd place - by Stanislav Trushkin, Polina Trushkina.
