Learning with passion

Sea of emotions and new knowledge

On 15 February, the Dubna University hosted the Science and Technology Festival that brought together many science lovers of all ages.

All day, an atmosphere of creativity and discovery reigned in the atrium of the main building of the university.

For young researchers over six years old, a team of scientists together with the JINR University Centre prepared an exhibition with exciting experiments, master classes and engaging experiences. Children immersed themselves in the world of science and adults enjoyed watching their discoveries.

In the conference hall of building 5a, a show of physical experiments was held from Dmitry Dryablov, a popularizer of science and a researcher at VBLHEP. The visitors witnessed incredible experiments: frozen flowers and fruit, ice balloons, color reactions, frosty smoke, dousing with liquid nitrogen and even fire on the hand!

The Festival became a real celebration of science, giving all the participants a sea of positive emotions and new knowledge in the field of physics, chemistry and other sciences.

Career fast and furious of MIPT 2026

On 19 February, a major event "Career Fast and Furious" was held in the main building of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, in which the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research took part.

This event provided students and young specialists with the opportunity to understand the intricacies and trends of their chosen profession, as well as to learn about master's and graduate programmes available at the leading research centres and laboratories of MIPT.

Achievements in the fields of science, including current news from the industry, were demonstrated at the JINR stand.

At MIPT, there is a basic department of JINR that is engaged in the fundamental and applied problems of microcosm physics. The Department is headed by Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Professor D.I.Kazakov. Students have the opportunity to learn about the latest research and development in this area, as well as to gain practical skills.
