Meeting autumn, seeing off summer

In the last days of August, several informative, memorable events for the Institute's employees and city residents were held in parallel. Given that schools for schoolchildren and students were held in the summer months, the educational process under the auspices of the Joint Institute can be considered continual.

The incredible International Festival of Retro Cars from the JINR Member States "Friendship Roads" that drove along the streets of Dubna in the 1960‑1980s, was organized by the JINR Museum of History of Science and Technology. Tours of the exhibition, master classes for children and adults, test drives of retro‑bicycles, riding on rare pedal machines, retro music, intellectual games, lectures and film screenings were held over four days.

The celebration of the Cup “Archimedes” was held, dedicated to the opening of new basketball courts, the central event of which was a gala match with the participation of Streetbasket legends and Dubna athletes. There were many contests, entertainment, music.

The baton was picked up by the Art Festival "Nabka‑2026" dedicated to shaping the modern look of Dubna, at the D. I. Blokhintsev Universal Library.

The Fifth Anniversary Theater Festival of the Dubna Drama Theater "Friendship Bridge" in the financing of which JINR took part, presented performances and concerts of 13 groups.

On 1 September, on the Day of Knowledge, the Cultural Centre "Mir" organized the "Parade of Sciences" thereby opening a new academic year. Schoolchildren moved through interactive stations dedicated to physics, mathematics, geography, biology, participated in scientific master classes.
