JINR - a platform for international cooperation

On 26 June, the defense of projects and the solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas on the completion of the 16th Internship for Young Scientists and Specialists from the CIS countries was held in the JINR Conference Hall.

ININC CIS Director, JINR Assistant Director for Development Projects Alexander Ruzaev, FLNR Deputy Scientific Leader Mikhail Itkis and Head of the Social Infrastructure Management Office, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Dubna City District Andrey Tamonov took part in the event.

The internship was held in Dubna from May 28 to June 27, organized by the International Innovative Nanotechnology Centre of the CIS countries (ININC CIS) with the support of Intergovernmental Foundation for Educational, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation of the CIS (IFESCCO) Member States and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The researchers, teachers, students and graduate students from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan took part in the internship.

The programme of the internship included lectures by JINR staff members, excursions to the JINR laboratories and the JINR University Centre, a detailed introduction to the activities of the Special Economic Zone "Dubna", visits to innovative enterprises and the Dubna State University.
