Final events of the season

The Festival "Days of Physics" and the 15th CyberDubna robotics tournament became the worthy end for JINR educational autumn-spring season in 2025-2026.

In total, these events brought together more than 400 participants from the Moscow Region on their sites: Dmitrov and Dmitrovsky District, Dolgoprudny, Dubna, Protvino, Sergiev Posad, Serpukhov, Taldom and Yakhroma. JINR partners were traditionally Dubna State University, the Moscow Region Polytechnic College (Polytech Dubna) and the V. G. Kadyshevsky Physics and Mathematics Lyceum.

Within the framework of the Festival "Days of Physics" on 18 April, nine master classes in physics and engineering were held, an open platform for demonstrating processes and phenomena functioned, including for the interactive activities of the programme participants, a nitrogen show, the final of the regional intellectual marathon and an open conference of students "Readings named after Academician V. G. Kadyshevsky".

This year, the Cultural Centre “Mir” again, five years later, hospitably opened its doors for the main educational and competitive events of the Festival that were attended by students aged 5 to 15 and their relatives - most of them (95%) represented Dubna and Dmitrovsky District. The students designed airplanes, measured the acceleration of free fall, studied the phenomenon of levitation, learned to control robots by voice and to transmit electricity wirelessly, observed the processes of micro- and macromere.

At the same site, the final of the regional "Intellectual marathon" was held - a team competition for students in grades 5-6. The qualifying rounds of the marathon were held from October 2025 to January 2026 at five sites in the region. 12 teams came to compete in the final and the diplomas of winners and prize-winners went mainly to Dmitrovsky District.

The first place was shared by two teams consisting of: Svyatozar Zubanov, Terenty Makarov, Svetoslav Parfenov, German Sizov (MEI "Gymnasium LOGOS", Dmitrov, mentor - Yu. M. Nekrasov), the second team: Tatyana Bykova, Matvey Kokunov, Matvey Sorokin (MEI "Engineering School", Dmitrov, mentor - G. I. Aminov). The second place went to the team consisting of: Ulyana Bychkova, Khojiakbar Murodov, Roman Smirnov, Dmitry Uzun (Secondary School No. 2, Yakhroma, mentor - L. L. Kuzmina). The third place was shared by two teams. The first in the membership: Elizaveta Volkova, Sergey Bazykin, Timur Kumirov, Khaliun Chuluunbaatar (Lyceum named after Kadyshevsky, Dubna, mentor - S. A. Gromkov). Second: Philip Litvinovich, Alexander Mishin, Maria Tereshkova, Elizaveta Shurlakova (MEI "Gymnasium LOGOS," Dmitrov, mentor - O. A. Nekrasova).

On the same day, a regional conference of schoolchildren was held within the walls of the Kadyshevsky Lyceum, in which more than 100 students of grades 5-10 of the Moscow Region took part. Reports in science, mathematics, engineering and information technology were distributed in eight sections, three of which collected the papers of students in grades 8-10 in the fields of physics and engineering, mathematics and computer science, chemistry and biology. JINR employees and teachers of Dubna University acted as experts at these sections.

Most of the papers of the older age group (there were 21 in total) were applied in nature and concerned either the investigation of phenomena of the surrounding world (from astronomy to society), or the development of engineering devices that help a person in everyday or professional activities, as well as devices that imitate components of artificial intelligence.

At the Section "Physics and Engineering" (Head of the Section is A. V. Tretyakov, associate professor of Dubna University), the paper of Yury Chelyshev (MEI "Lyceum No. 4", Dmitrov, mentor - L. A. Pavlova) was recognized as the best, in which the author showed a sound synthesizer designed and assembled with his own hand.

At the Section "Mathematics and Computer Science" (Head of the Section is the leading researcher of MLIT I. S. Pelevanyuk), the winners were representatives of the Kadyshevsky Lyceum Mikhail Bednyakov (mentor L. I. Golyatkin) and Ivan Mukhin and Gleb Sokolov (mentor O. V. Shchetsova). Mikhail designed and implemented a device for classifying semantic types of speech, and Ivan and Gleb created a chess chatbot.

At the Section "Chemistry and Biology" (Head of the Section is an employee of LRB Yu. S. Severyukhin), two papers became winners: Victoria Khusnutdinova, Nicole Ananyeva, Kira Zubova (MEI "Secondary School Vnukovskaya", Dmitrov, mentor P. I. Aleksashin) - according to the flowering properties of some species of plants, Anna Kupryashova (PIEO "New School of YUNA", Dubna, mentor - S. A. Lepunova) - on the analysis of the properties of tea brewing.

I would like to highlight a significant contribution to the excellent organization of the conference by representatives of the Kadyshevsky Lyceum - Head teacher I. A. Dorozhenko, T. V. Kuftinova, M. E. Prokoshina and representatives of Dubna University, associate professors A. N. Voropai and O. A. Savvateeva.

The next day, 19 April, within the walls of the JINR University Centre on 4a Vavilov Street, the 15th CyberDubna robotics tournament was held, in which participants competed in driving along the line (three teams participated: from Dubna, Vnukovo, Dmitrovsky District and Dmitrov) and in designing a device capable of remotely receiving and recognizing a package of pulsed light signals. 12 teams from Dmitrov, Dubna, Sergiev Posad, Serpukhov and Protvino participated. In fact, the participants of the competition had to continue to master various new devices for themselves and ways of working with them.

In competitions, when moving along the line, the jury decided not to announce the winner, yet Yana Anisimova, Daniil Kuliev (MEI "Secondary School Vnukovskaya", Dmitrov, mentor - N. A. Egorova) and Ekaterina Gonshior, Stepan Phillipov (Dubna, mentor - M. O. Pengrin) became the best.

In the competition of devices that recognize a package of light signals, the first place was awarded to a team consisting of: Igor Slabospitsky and Stepan Filimonov (MEI “Protvinsky PML”, mentors - V.V. Brekhovskikh and M.V. Savchenkova). The second place was awarded to the team consisting of: Maximilian Ermilov and Denis Shibanov (SBEI "Sergiev Posad PML", mentor - A. D. Palagina). The jury decided not to award the third place.

On 18 and 19 April, JINR employees, teachers of Dubna University, administration and teachers of the Kadyshevsky Lyceum, university and college students, high school students from Dubna took part in organizing the programmes - only about 100 people. Special gratitude to the employees of the Cultural Centre “Mir” that provided comfortable conditions for the events.
