A major step for systemic development

On 8 April, the first meeting of the Programme Advisory Committee of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Atomic Energy was held at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP PAC). One of the international experts of the INP PAC was MLIT Sergey Shmatov.

The start of the work of the new international expert body of the INP is intended to become a strategic step aimed at developing a long-term scientific and technological policy of the INP and its integration into the global scientific space. The INP PAC included leading scientists and experts from Hungary, the Republic of Korea, the USA, Turkey, France, Japan and the JINR international scientific organization. From the Joint Institute, DLNP Director Evgeny Yakushev also became a member of the Committee.

At the opening of the first meeting of the INP PAC, INP Director General, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government of Kazakhstan at JINR Sayabek Sakhiyev that has recently visited MLIT, highlighted: "The establishment of the Programme Advisory Committee is an important step for the systematic development of the research areas of the Institute. International expertise will allow us to build research at the level of world standards and to develop projects of global significance."
