Ramadan in restaurant "Barion"

The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research has a strong focus on creating a favorable scientific, social and cultural environment for employees from JINR Member States. On 28 February, a joint iftar (evening meal - Editor's note) of the Egyptian community of the Institute was held in the restaurant "Barion".

On behalf of the Egyptian employees, Deputy Director of the JINR UC and Head of the Egyptian Community at the Institute Wael Badawy expressed his sincere gratitude to JINR Directorate, the International Cooperation Department and the Hotel & Restaurant Complex Management Office for their assistance and comprehensive support in organizing a collective iftar dedicated to the holy month of Ramadan.

"We felt support and concern from the Institute and the atmosphere of the holiday made it feel as if we were at home in Egypt. Many thanks to Directorate of the Joint Institute for everything they have done for us," Wael Badawy said. "Such events contribute to the strengthening of intercultural dialogue and reflect the desire of JINR to maintain cultural diversity in its international staff."
