Awards

According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation № 163 of 25 March, 2025 "On awarding state awards of the Russian Federation" for merits in scientific activities and many years of conscientious work,

Head of the Sector of the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions Vladimir UTENKOV was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merits to the Fatherland", I class

Deputy Director of the Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions Andrey POPEKO was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merits to the Fatherland", II class

According to the order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 86 of 25 March, Deputy Director of the Laboratory of High Energy Physics Andrey BUTENKO was awarded Gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation for his merits in scientific activities and many years of conscientious work.

Honorary Diplomas of the Moscow Oblast Duma

were awarded to:

- the veterans of sports Valery Komissarchikov, Anatoly Yudenkov, Andrey Sidoruk, Fedor Kondrashkov for fruitful public activity and active life position, as well as on the 70th anniversary of the Stadium "Nauka";

- Vladimir Lomakin for conscientious work and professionalism.

Letters of acknowledgement of the Moscow Oblast Duma

were awarded to honored sportsmen of Dubna Nikolay Tamberg, Olga Gorshkova, Svetlana Milvit, Inna Tikhomirova.

The Gratitude of SIM Office of JINR

was awarded to Igor Fetisov.

Head of Social Infrastructure Management Office Andrey Tamonov and Director of the Sports Complex Vladimir Lomakin expressed their sincere gratitude for their contribution to the sports life of the city. City Council deputy Alexey Charykov and Head of Culture and Sports Department Mikhail Bogomolov joined to congratulations and good wishes. Gratitude and memorable gifts were presented to the employees of the Stadium "Nauka" for their contribution to the creation of a comfortable environment for sports and recreation.
 

JINR scientists as members of international collaborations
won the scientific "Oscar" in the USA.

On 5 April, the Breakthrough Prize 2025 was awarded in Los Angeles.

The award for breakthroughs in fundamental physics was awarded to four experiments at the Large Hadron Collider - ATLAS, ALICE, CMS and LHCb - based on the results of work with data from the second session as of July 2024.

JINR staff members from DLNP, VBLHEP, MLIT and BLTP are actively involved in the work of the three collaborations (ATLAS, ALICE and CMS).
