Dubna welcomes "The Baldin autumn"

On 18 September, the opening of the 25th Baldin International Seminar on Problems of High Energy Physics "Relativistic Nuclear Physics and Quantum Chromodynamics" was held. The Seminar is held within the framework of the International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development, organized by JINR with the support of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics.

The Seminar is also timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Electrophysical Laboratory of the USSR Academy of Sciences (EPLAS), on the basis of which the Laboratory of High Energies of JINR was established in 1956. In addition, this year marks 30 years since the launch of the Nuclotron. During the week, the results obtained at the largest scientific facilities, achievements of theoretical and applied research in the field of high energy physics and nuclear physics will be discussed at "The Baldin autumn".
