For contribution to the development of MIPT

Leading researcher of the Experimental Department of Colliding Beams of DLNP Georgy Alexandrovich Shelkov was awarded the Jubilee Medal "75 Years of PhysTech". The awarding ceremony was held on 4 March at the university campus in Dolgoprudny.

The 75th anniversary of MIPT is a significant event for science and education in Russia.

MIPT has always been one of the most advanced technological universities in our country, defining the scientific vector of development for years to come. The Jubilee Medal "75 Years of PhysTech" was established in 2021 in honor of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Physics and Technology of Moscow State University on 25 November, 1946.

Very soon, the Faculty became an independent Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and today, it is a national research university. The Jubilee Medal "75 Years of PhysTech" is awarded to staff members and graduates of MIPT, as well as to the representatives of other organizations for their great contribution to the development of MIPT, strengthening its international relations and the Institute's role in the scientific and educational community.

Georgy Alexandrovich Shelkov had been Head of the MIPT department at JINR since it was opened in 1997, until 2007. Colleagues and students heartily congratulate Georgy Alexandrovich with the deserved award!
