Results and prospects

On 20 – 24 July in Beijing, at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), the 28th international meeting of the JUNO Collaboration was held.

The state of the JUNO detector, plans for data acquisition and processing (including issues on the future use of computing resources), requirements for future physical results and publications were discussed at the meeting.

The main goal of the JUNO experiment is to estimate the ordering of neutrino masses. Due to the huge size of the liquid scintillation detector and the high accuracy of energy measurement, the experiment opens up wide opportunities for scientific research - from precision measurements of the lepton sector mixing parameters of the Standard Model, geo‑neutrino registration and neutrino observation from supernovae to the search for New Physics, including proton decay.

The meeting was attended by eleven employees of DLNP.
