Following tradition, Serpukhov School No. 10 served as JINR's key partner in the southern Moscow Region. The second qualifying round of the "Intellectual Marathon" was held on 15 November at School No.3. Thirteen teams from the Serpukhov District, representing nine educational institutions across the region, participated. Students in grades 5 and 6 participated in teams of four. Each team had to complete six topical stations ("Physics", "Mathematics", "Natural Sciences", "Logic and Computer Science", "Engineering" and "Puzzles"), completing five tasks at each station and scoring as many points as possible. Teams had 15 minutes to complete each station and between stations, the participants took part in sports and entertainment competitions that awarded bonus points for their ingenuity and dexterity.
Among the 5th grade students, the winners were the teams from School No.3 (Aleksandr Avilov, Viktoria Kopylova, Phillip Gabrov and Veronika Belevtsova, mentored by E.N.Konogray) and School No.10 (Polina Teplyakova, Georgy Maksimov, Timofey Teplov and Ksenia Sautina, mentored by O.E.Okaneva). Among the 6th grade students, the best were the teams from Protvino Lyceum (Ekaterina Klyanchina, Fedor Moshkov, Matvey Berezovsky and Gleb Bogdanov, mentored by E.A.Rybakova) and the team from the Khrabrov Educational Complex (Sofia Ekimova, Evdokia Kostyuchenko, Anastasia Sudakova and Viktoria Stepanenko, mentored by M.I.Germek). These four teams received invitations to the programme finals that are scheduled to be held in April 2026 within the framework of the Physics Days Festival. All Marathon participants, including 14 senior students from School No.10, that is, volunteers that helped teachers to organize work at the stations were awarded gifts from the JINR representatives. A total of 66 students and 14 teachers attended the event. The second qualifying round of the Technical Hackathon was held on 15-16 November, at the Lenin Cultural Centre. Twelve teams (two students in grades 6 and 7 each) from nine educational institutions in Serpukhov, including the two new districts Obolensk and Dashkovo participated. The participants learned the basics of 3D modeling and robotics (using the Arduino platform), designed, assembled and debugged an autonomous device for detecting the color of an object. Three teams became winners of the second qualifying round of the Technical Hackathon: the representatives of the Protvino Lyceum that completed the most tasks (Vasily Filimonov and Vladimir Kuryshev, mentored by M.V.Savchenkova); the Dashkovskaya Secondary School team (Andrey Nikitin and Emil Khamraev, mentored by A.N.Ushakov) and the Continuous Education Centre team (Alexey Bogachev and Angelina Boldina, mentored by S.N.Fedotova). All four teams were admitted to the hackathon finals that will be held in April 2026 in Dubna and received their assembled devices as a gift from the organizers. Hackathon participants also received commemorative gifts from JINR.
