Youth and Science JINR - MSU: educational collaborationThe first month of the new academic year is drawing to a close at the Dubna branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University.Last year, the branch, as an independent division of MSU, opened its doors for the first time to 13 master's students in physics that will be entering their second year of studies this year and preparing to defend their theses and graduate. Eleven students were admitted to the programme "Physics", including students from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. At its peak, the competition for physics students was over four applicants per place. Thirteen students were admitted to the new programme "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science" that also expand the branch's geographic reach from Vladivostok to Gomel. To help students in choosing their supervisors, the JINR University Centre organized a week-long introductory programme of lectures and tours of the Institute's laboratories. The successful 2025 admissions campaign lays a solid foundation for training highly qualified personnel for JINR and the development of new areas of study facilitates the inclusion of new laboratories in the JINR's academic programme.
