International Conference on Quantum Field TheoryOn 11 - 15 August, the International Conference "Advances in Quantum Field Theory" (AQFT-2025) started at the Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics. More than 100 theoretical physicists from Russia, Germany, Vietnam, France and the United Kingdom gathered to discuss the key issues of the advanced quantum field theory and its applications, including quantum gravity, holography, supersymmetric field theory and the current techniques of calculating Feynman diagrams.Welcoming the Conference participants, BLTP JINR Director Dmitry Kazakov emphasized the importance of quantum field theory (QFT) to Dubna theorists and highlighted the great contribution of the founding fathers of the Joint Institute Nikolay Bogoliubov and Dmitry Blokhintsev to research in this field. "Quantum field theory has been successfully developing for over 50 years," he stated. "This event carries on the tradition of international conferences on QFT that have previously been held in Tomsk and Dubna, bringing together leading scientists and young specialists."
The AQFT-2025 programme includes more than 70 reports on the following topics: quantum gauge field theory, supersymmetric field theory, quantum field theory in curved space-and-time, quantum gravity, higher spin field theory, nonperturbative methods in quantum field theory, multiloop calculations, string/brane theory and AdS/CFT correspondence.
