JINR scientific relations: partnership, support, interest

In the first issue of our newspaper, we keep summing up the results of 2024. The basic result of all JINR activities can be considered the fact that scientists from all over the world still come to the Institute, international cooperation develops, including in new areas.

Last year, 1287 visits were held from 31 countries. The leading countries in the number of visits were: Russia - 682, Belarus - 139, South Africa - 101, Egypt - 60, China - 51, Serbia - 48, Kazakhstan - 37, Armenia - 23, Cuba - 19, Vietnam - 18.

A total of 1577 business trips of JINR employees to 55 countries were arranged. Of these, 351 were for conferences, 1226 were for collaborations. Leading countries in terms of outbound visits: Switzerland - 261, Kazakhstan - 253, China - 156, Armenia - 155, Belarus - 155, South Africa - 86, Uzbekistan - 58, Egypt - 57, Azerbaijan - 43, Germany - 42.

There were 34 protocol-level visits to JINR, including 12 from outside the Member States and Associate Members. The number of VIP visitors was 213 (25 from outside the Member States and Associate Members).
