Personnel for knowledge-based industries

JINR and Dubna State University have signed an agreement on joint educational programmes in a network format: admission will be carried out for nine bachelor's degree programmes and five master's degree programmes.

The agreement is aimed at creating an integrated educational environment that provides high-quality knowledge and the most relevant practical skills in the field of nuclear physics, nanotechnology, materials science, radiobiology, big data analytics, software development and other current areas.

JINR will provide students with the scientific infrastructure of its laboratories. The possibility of additional scholarships, payments and social support measures from the Institute is also envisaged.

Acting Rector of Dubna State University Andrey Denikin emphasized that this agreement is a new step in the history of long-term cooperation between the University and JINR: "We have signed a new agreement within the framework of the currently valid cooperation agreement since 2018. The expanded list of specialties has been developed with a view to covering the Institute's personnel needs, where young specialists can begin a promising career in the field of big science and advanced technologies. The network format allows us to summarize our efforts and to obtain excellent results from the integration of science and education."

The new agreement is concluded for a period of five years with the possibility of extension.
