JINR at NAUKA 0+ Festival
On 6 September, a real science festival was held in the Botanical Garden in Minsk that brought together schoolchildren, students, teachers and simply curious citizens. Under the tent domes, they discussed the prospects for work in the scientific field, admired chemical experiments and carried out physical experiments. Visitors could talk to astronauts, try their hand at first aid, participate in debates in a philosophical cafe, learn about the recent agricultural achievements and JINR facilities.
Throughout the day, the stand of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research became a real magnet for inquisitive minds. About three thousand guests visited it. Young researchers, students and teachers immersed themselves in the world of physics, discovering the secrets and exciting processes of nuclear reactions that are used to reveal the laws of the Universe and to develop breakthrough technologies in many areas of human life: from medicine and ecology to space flights. Everyone could not only observe, but also actively participate in physical experiments.
This year's Science Festival opened its doors to an exciting world of amazing discoveries and inspiring ideas. It reminded us that science is not just dry facts and formulae, but a living, pulsating organism full of desire to unravel the secrets of the Universe.
