Seminars for teachers

The JINR employees, the co-authors of the new teaching materials "Physics 7-9. Engineers of the future" held three webinars dedicated to the new academic year, attended by over a thousand physics teachers from different regions of Russia. The webinars were organized by the publishing house "Prosveshchenie".

The textbook "Physics 7-9. Engineers of the future" is included in the federal list of textbooks of the Russian Federation and it was widely used in engineering classes of schools and lyceums in various regions of Russia last academic year. The authors of the texbook are Viktoria Belaga, Natalia Vorontsova, Ivan Lomachenkov and Yury Panebrattsev.

On 27 August, Professor Yury Panebrattsev gave a talk at a plenary session of the All-Russian Congress of Physics Teachers that was held at the Sirius Educational Centre. About 350 people participated in the Congress. The report included new results on the development of the teaching materials support website and new materials for teachers, including a physics practicum.

At present, the support website, available at https://physics-engineers.ru, has electronic applications for physics textbooks. The section "Research Workshops" contains 10 laboratory classes carried out as a full-scale experiment or virtually. The section "Media Library" contains stories about inventions, training appliances for solving tasks, tests, reference tables and other materials to help in mastering disciplines. For teachers, the sections "Teacher" with methodological manuals and "Lesson Designer" are suggested.
