Everyday life at the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir"

On stage... audience!

The audience greeted the production of the Moscow Youth Musical Theater "Nika" with a full house that was presented in the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" in an unusual format "Audience on stage".

The opera performance for the whole family "The Little Prince" made a special impression on the audience, since the audience was in close proximity to the performers, literally becoming participants in the theatrical action.

The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is the most widely read and most frequently translated book ever written in French. This beautiful, eternal, sad and bright philosophical tale about the purity of a child's soul always resonates in people's hearts. A musical reading of the play was held by order of the Mariinsky Theater in 2016. The idea of its creation belongs to the artistic director of the Academy of Young Opera Singers Larisa Gergieva. The music of composer Leonid Klinichev enchants with its magic and mesmerizing atmosphere. The most striking characters were transferred from a literary source to the opera: the capricious Rose, the wise Fox, the power-hungry King, the insidious Snake, the lonely Lamplighter. The little prince lives in each of us - it is important not to forget him and always be his friend.

In the new year, "Audience on Stage" will offer viewers a wide variety of productions and genres, including a series of lectures within the framework of the music laboratory of the Cultural Centre "Mir".

Bravely, brightly, unusually

For a month, an exhibition is on display at the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" at which artworks by nine independent young artists of the city, working in different techniques and styles are presented.

This is the first such event within the Cultural Centre "Mir", opening a freer view of contemporary art. At the exhibition, one can see the artworks by Anastasia Zlobina (the author of painting the walls of the JINR stadium and not only), UNKNOWN artist, Evgeny Sakhno, artists with the pseudonym RARAMBSAB, lIlit, Alexander Kishkin, Yura Plyushch, Arina Belyaeva, Yura Sever. The curator of the exhibition was Oleg Lyubimov and his artworks are also presented in the exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition was held with musical support from "5 Letters of Radio" (DJ set rfn b2b dieorvoodoo). Next, there was a tea and music chamber party. There, the presentation of paintings by Evgeny Sakhno was accompanied by a musical performance by a flutist, composer and sound designer Olga Scotland. Olga is a co-author and front-woman of the group "Cape of the Moon". The atmosphere of the evening was complemented by a tasting of exquisite tea from China from Tin-Chai, a Dubna-based company that since 2006, has been selecting only high-quality, organic tea from trusted Chinese masters.

On 8 December, at 7:00 PM, the final chord of the exhibition will be a master class on flow drawing from Evgeny Sakhno. We invite you to our World of Creativity!
