These days, the XXVII International Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists AYSS-2023, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Bruno Maximovich Pontecorvo, is held.

The Conference is held in person at the Laboratory of Nuclear Problems and the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics of JINR. More than 240 young scientists take part in it. About 150 of them give oral reports, 80 deliver poster reports. They are representatives of South Africa, Cuba, India, Serbia, Syria, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The Conference programme includes review lectures from leading experts on the work and life of Bruno Pontecorvo, the Standard Model in modern science, dark matter research, the development and technology of accelerators, astronomy and cosmology. A large block will be dedicated to neutrino research and related experiments.

Young participants will present reports in nine thematic sections: theoretical physics, mathematical simulation and computational physics, high energy physics, particle accelerators and nuclear reactors, experimental nuclear physics, information technologies, condensed matter physics, applied research, life sciences. A rich cultural and social programme is also organized for them in Dubna.
