NAMED JINR Scholarship

The Scientific Council of the Dubna State University approved candidates for a scholarship from the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

They were selected from among undergraduate students engaged in scientific activities under the supervision of JINR staff members. 15 2nd-3rd year students and 21 fourth-year final year students in the areas of "Physics", "Nuclear Physics and Technology", "Design and Technology of Electronic Devices", "Chemistry, Physics and Mechanics of Materials", "Software Engineering" and "Chemistry" are among the winners.

2nd-3rd year students will be awarded 17.800 rubles monthly, fourth-year students - 23.000 rubles.

Let us recall that last semester 44 such scholarships were awarded.

"This semester, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research also decided to support our university students with personal scholarships," secretary of the Committee for the appointment and payment of JINR scholarships, Deputy Director of the Engineering Physics Institute Olga Klimenko notes. "It is worth noting that this semester students not only from the basic departments of JINR, but also from other departments could apply for it; the main condition was to complete the paper under the supervision of a scientific leader from the Institute. There were significantly more applications this time and it suggests that junior students too, more extensively participate in scientific activities. Students will be awarded the scholarship from October to January."
