Not a day without sport

On 1 December, the sports instructor of the JINR Sports Complex I.K.Tikhomirova was awarded a Diploma as the best athlete among the Veterans of the city of Dubna and a few months earlier, an international class master of sports in table tennis, the absolute champion of the USSR, European champion, bronze medalist of the World Championship celebrated her 60th anniversary.

Inna Konstantinovna has been working in the field of physical education and sports for 42 years, since 1993 she has been working in sports organizations in Dubna. She has dedicated 20 years to the work of a table tennis coach at the Sports School "Dubna", later she worked as a senior teacher in the Department of Physical Education of the Dubna State University. She also coached the University's table tennis team and participated in interuniversity competitions with her team, as well as headed the University's sports club.

Since 2018, I.K.Tikhomirova has been working as an instructor at the JINR Stadium "Nauka". She conducts classes at a high organizational, scientific and methodological level that promotes health improvement, good physical training and successful learning of table tennis techniques. Inna Konstantinovna holds large table tennis tournaments at the Stadium "Nauka" that contributes to the popularization of table tennis and sports in general. The JINR staff team has repeatedly won the City Spartakiad among teams of physical culture. I.K.Tikhomirova was awarded the Badge of Honor "For the development of physical culture and sports in the Moscow region", the gratitude of the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation, she has the title of "Veteran of Labor" and she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of Mayor of the city of Dubna.

Inna Konstantinovna widely participates in competitions at various levels. This year, at the Russian Table Tennis Championship among veterans, she took the first place in the individual and doubles, took part in the International Spartakiad among veterans dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

Directorate of the Sports Complex and the JINR Social Infrastructure Management Office are proud that such a wonderful person and an excellent professional - a teacher and an athlete works in our team. We wish Inna Konstantinovna good health, prosperity, new sports victories and talented students!
