Another meeting with "Beryozka"

On 18 December, a concert of the State Academic Choreographic Ensemble "Beryozka" named after N.S.Nadezhdina was held at the Cultural Centre "Mir". Like in 1948 and for 74 years, the concert started with a round dance of girls in red sundresses and birch twigs in their hands.

Melodious tones of folk instruments, light step, synchronous smooth changes of steps, grace of movements, beauty of dancers, luxury of costumes pleased the audience in round dances "Lebedushka", "Rechenka", "Tsepochka". The sparkle of snow, polar lights, the whirlwinds of the snowstorm of the "Northern round dance", ringing of the bells hidden in the hands of the girls in the same round dance reminded of winter and the traditions of the Russian North, created a New Year's mood.

Comic dances, choreographic pictures, performances of the men's group with "Kholostyaki", "Pesn trudu", "Komarik" conveyed energy, fervour and light irony to the audience.

The last appearance on the stage of all the artists in various costumes was under "Kalinka". These sounds echo in the hearts of all Russians and guests of our country with cheerfulness, merriment and good mood. The emotions of the audience were supplemented by delight and admiration for the skill of the artists, the complex choreographic elements and the coherence of movements.
