Open competition of youth science and technology projects
has named the winners

The competition, organized by the Management Company of the SEZ "Dubna" and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, has become a review of the creative potential of the youth of the science city. Six teams that had submitted the best projects received financial rewards for their practical implementation.

The winners were:

in the category "Creative idea"

- among schoolchildren from 6 to 17 years old Daria Demidova and Daniil Dudarev,

- among students, postgraduate students and young scientists Aelita Voropay;

in the category "Working design":

- among students, postgraduate students and young scientists Irina Eremkina;

in the category "Working programme code":

- in the junior group Aleksandr Kozlenko,

- in the older group - Viktor Baryshnikov.

Additionally, the Management Company of the SEZ "Dubna" noted the project to create opportunities for schoolchildren and students to cooperate and work on interesting tasks. Its authors, students of Lyceum "Dubna" Galina Ivantsova and Elizaveta Kurnikova were offered to become volunteers of the Digital Garage.

Presentations of the winning projects will be posted on the website of the SEZ and the Digital Garage throughout the next year. So, they have the opportunity to find potential business partners or to be awarded a grant to commercialize their ideas.

There were quite a lot of people wishing to participate in the competition - 23 applications were submitted and more than 60 schoolchildren, students, postgraduate students and young scientists took part in it in total. As the jury of the competition noted, the participants were self-motivated and the level of work was quite high. It means that there is a base for bringing up talented "technicians" in Dubna, potential creative workers for the research and production complex of our science city. It is also encouraging that children from the youngest school age are involved in such a creative competition, that they have the opportunity to grow creatively and under the supervision of class mentors, start their path in science.
