Dubna turned 66

This year the City Day celebration program took almost a week. Various events for the Dubna citizens of all ages were prepared by Dubna organisations and enterprises. We will tell about some of them on the pages of our newspaper.

On 29 July, a solemn ceremony of awarding Dubna citizens was held at the reception of Head of Dubna Sergey Kulikov in the JINR Scientists' Club. Head of the city, together with Chairman of the Council of Deputies Andrey Tamonov, presented well-deserved awards. Badges of Honor "For Merits to Dubna" were awarded to E.V.Rozhkova and A.A.Dudnik.

State Duma deputy I.K.Rodnina presented the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Russian Federation to the Chief Medical Officer of the Dubna city hospital A.V.Osipov. Gratitude of the Governor of the Moscow Region was presented to M.N.Kapishin, Head of the Department of the Laboratory of High Energy Physics of JINR and to G.P.Koltin, Software Engineer of Atoll Scientific Research Institute. A letter of thanks from the Governor of the Moscow Region was presented to A.E.Klubnikin, Head of the Department of Affairs of the Administration of the Dubna City District.

S.Kulikov presented a Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region to A.V.Lushina, a teacher at the Children's Art School "Rhapsody". A letter of thanks from the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow Region was presented to N.P.Shurygina, artistic director of the Oktyabr Palace of Culture. A letter of thanks from the Ministry of Territorial Policy of the Moscow Region was presented to V.A.Trufanova, Chairman of the Finance and Economics Committee of the Administration of the Dubna City District.

Certificate of Honor from the Moscow Regional Duma was presented to L.N.Kutafina, Head of the Estimated Department of the Directorate for the Development of the Science City Dubna. A letter of thanks from the Moscow Regional Duma was presented to E.A.Muravkina, a teacher of the Russian language and literature at the secondary school No.1; to A.I.Volkova, an expert of the department of the Federal Tax Service of Russia No.12; to E.A.Tumanova, Head of the control and revision department of the Administration of the Dubna City District; to V.V.Vorobieva, Industrial Engineer of PTA UE.

Certificate of Honor from Head of the Dubna City District was presented to G.V.Pavlova, Head of the secretariat group of MKB Raduga named after A.Ya.Bereznyak. Medal of the Laureate of the "Golden Pen of Muscovy" award was presented to A.A.Voronin, Head of the Dubna branch of the Writers' Union of Russia; to S.K.Sokolov, a member of the Writers' Union of Russia.

State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina, Chairman of the Council of Deputies Andrey Tamonov, the first Deputy General Director of SEZ "Dubna" Roman Khomyakov and the dean of the churches of the Dubna-Taldom district archpriest Pavel Murzich, as well as the guests of the Science City Dubna - Head of the Dolgoprudny City District Vladislav Yudin, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Taldom City District Mikhail Anikeev congratulated the citizens of Dubna on the City Day.

A wonderful gift for all those present was the performance of the Dubna Symphony Orchestra.

On 30 July, as part of the celebration of the City Day, on the Molodezhnaya Polyana, the Medical Unit No.9 of the FMBA of Russia held a set of events for the guests of the holiday at six different locations, according to the official website of the medical unit.

Healthy Dubna. During all three hours of the "Health Care City" there was a keen interest from visitors to this location. Here, everyone was able to pass the first stage of in-depth medical examination: to check the heart and blood vessels functions; to measure the level of cholesterol in the blood; to measure intraocular and arterial pressure; to perform fluorography and mammography in a mobile complex, provided within the framework of cooperation by the Federal Medical Biophysical Center named after A.I.Burnazyan of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia; as well as to get vaccinated against Covid-19 and donate blood for antibodies to a new coronavirus infection.

Diabetes School. The citizens and guests of Dubna received advice from an endocrinologist, as well as measured blood glucose levels; they were also trained in remote health monitoring. The system has been effectively used by the employees of the Medical Unit No.9 of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency of Russia for several months and greatly simplifies the monitoring of patients with diabetes mellitus.

Active longevity. In a small clearing, located in the very center of the "Health Care City", the instructor of the physical therapy of the Medical Unit No. 9 held classes and a lecture on the basics of physiotherapy exercises for everyone. The patients in need for regular exercises received booklets with a set of exercises that must be performed independently. It was also possible to have a massage session here, using a device for vibration-thermal roller massage of the spine.

Healthy smile. Dentists gave a lecture on "Secrets of a Healthy Smile", examined patients, gave all the necessary recommendations and presented memorable gifts.

Youth Health Center. Specialists of the Medical Unit No. 9 prepared a contest "Merry Starts" for the guests of the event. More than 20 families took an active part, everyone received a lot of positive emotions and memorable souvenirs. Here, everyone could learn everything about the work of a completely new, unparalleled in Dubna Youth Health Center of the Medical Unit No.9 of the FMBA of Russia.

School of healthy eating. A master class from the chef of the Medical Unit No.9 with tasting attracted the attention of both adults and children. Six dishes were prepared: rosehip drink, homemade marmalade, zucchini pancakes, original sauces and others.

At the end of the holiday, the team of the Medical Unit No.9 held a quiz on the topic of a healthy lifestyle. All participants received valuable prizes, including glucometers, certificates for visiting the halochamber and pressure chamber, as well as warm blankets.
