Information about COVID

The JINR Operational Headquarters for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection informs that according to the data provided by the Interregional Department No. 21 of the FMBA of Russia, a noticeable increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection has been observed in Moscow and the Moscow Region over the past 2-3 weeks. Currently, cases of infection with a new strain of COVID-19 - "Centaur" are registered in the Russian Federation.

"Centaur" is a subspecies of the omicron strain of the coronavirus that is characterized by a high level of contagiousness, a short incubation period, a high risk of reinfection, higher likelihood of lower respiratory tract infection and the development of symptoms of pneumonia.

The main symptoms of the Centaur strain of COVID-19 are: fever up to 37-38°C, weakness, reduced working capacity, moderate headaches and muscle aches, nasal congestion, sore throat, dry cough, loss of smell and/or taste.

In order to comply with the sanitary and epidemiological regime, the Medical Unit No.9 of the FMBA of Russia organised the admission of patients with signs of ARVI without an appointment in room No.100, located on the first floor of the polyclinic and having a separate entrance from the street.

Organised work of the call-center: tel. +7 920-069-41-42, + 7 496 214-92-72.

According to the recommendations of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, those having not previously been vaccinated against COVID-19, those having had passed 6 or more months since the last vaccination and those having previously (at least 6 months ago) had the disease, need preventive vaccination against coronavirus infection COVID-19.

Immunization against COVID-19 (vaccination and/or revaccination) is especially recommended for people aged 60 years and older, people with chronic diseases, including diseases of the bronchopulmonary system, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and obesity. The World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation do not recommend a blood test for the presence of antibodies to coronavirus infection to make a decision on vaccination.

At the same time, the presence of medical contraindications for vaccination against coronavirus infection COVID-19 can be determined by a special medical committee of the Medical Unit No.9.

In Medical Unit No.9, it is possible to conduct a blood test for the presence of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 for cash at the request of the employee or, in special cases, for medical reasons on the recommendation of the medical committee.

Vaccination against coronavirus infection COVID-19 of various categories of citizens, including those having previously had this infectious disease, vaccinated, revaccinated, is possible to carry out using any one-component vaccines for the prevention of COVID-19 registered in the Russian Federation.

At present, the Gam-Covid-Vak, the trade mark Sputnik V, components I and II, and Sputnik Light vaccines are available in the Medical Unit No.9.

One can get vaccinated without an appointment from 08:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the vaccination room of the Industrial Medicine Center at 13 Mira St., (4th floor), from 4:00 PM to 08:00 AM - in the vaccination room, located on the 1st floor of the admission department of the hospital No. 9, as well as in health centers at the DLNP (tel. 216-24-56) and VBLHEP sites (tel. 216-20-68).

Testing for coronavirus using PCR is still conducted:

- for those with signs of ARVI - on the recommendation of a doctor - within the framework of compulsory medical insurance;

- for the employees who have been in close contact with the infected COVID-19, returning from business trips (citizens of the Russian Federation having completed a full course of vaccination within the last 12 months or having officially had the disease within the last 6 months are exempted from testing), the employees that are prescribed planned hospitalization (at the request of the medical institution) - on appointment at the Operational Headquarters by e-mail (stolypina@jinr.ru) or tel. 216-30-49 (L.Yu.Stolypina).
