Autumn contrast - a gloomy day and a wonderful evening

On 31 October, the combined choir "Belcanto" of the Cultural Centre "Mir" and the "Student and Youth Choir", directed by Elena Khritankova, along with the orchestra conducted by Sergey Akimov, once again performed on the country's main stage - the Kremlin Palace.

"Harry Potter - a symphonic soundtrack", a unique project that united music, lighting effects and cinematography, transported the audience back to the atmosphere of their favorite films about the young wizard. This concert allowed them to once again experience the magic of the soundtrack of the great fantasy.

Before the performance, the musicians settled into their familiar dressing rooms, yet without the opportunity to stroll around Red Square, they got straight to work. Warm-ups, makeup and a rehearsal with the orchestra on stage.

And then, the real magic began: scenes of battles and adventures came to life thanks to the music performed by a magnificent cast of musicians. The fantastic finale gave the audience an unforgettable experience.

The fading autumn wouldn't have been so beautiful without this magical music. Nature gave us a rainy, overcast day. But the evening in the Kremlin Palace was full of delight, joy and incredible emotions for both participants and audience.

Ekaterina BYSTROVA,
member of the choir "Belcanto"
