Celebration of Choral Arts

On the holiday, 23 February, the IV Interregional Open Choir Festival "Singing Moscow Region" was held at the Cultural Centre "October", dedicated to two anniversaries of composers: the 90th anniversary of Evgeny Krylatov and the 110th anniversary of Arkady Ostrovsky.

The academic choir "Bel Canto" of the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" performed two Russian folk songs "There is fog in the field", "Along Piterskaya" and Arkady Ostrovsky's song "How the steamships are seen off". The choristers also took part in a large combined choir of all festival groups.

This is a wonderful choral festival where the Bel Canto Choir had the opportunity to perform, listen to other groups and communicate with colleagues.

Amazing voices, high class singing...

On 25 February, a concert of the chamber choir "Credo" of the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir" was held at the Children's Music School.

The choir members prepared for a long time and were really looking forward to their solo concert. In the programme that consisted of two parts, the public listened to compositions of various genres and eras: Western and Russian sacred music, compositions of modern composers, arrangements of Russian folk songs, jazz compositions.

At the concert, both already beloved compositions and many new ones were performed; the singers had learned them especially for the event. According to reviews from the audience and the performers themselves, it was a great success. At the end of the performance, the audience left words of gratitude to the performers. We are publishing one of the reviews left by the family of Babins: "We are regular visitors and fans of the work of this group and try not to miss concerts (unfortunately, rare ones). On behalf of our entire family, we would like to thank each choir member, the entire choir as a whole and Director Irina Nikolaevna Kachkalova. As always, a brilliant, delightful concert with new compositions... Stunning voices and their fusion, high-class singing, simply magic! Words cannot express all the emotions from the concert; it was a celebration of the soul. We sincerely thank you for all the bright emotions and feelings that the choir gave us with their concert. We wish you creative longevity, new interesting ideas and strength to implement them and preserve uniqueness!"

Artistic Director of the choir I.N.Kachkalova expresses gratitude to Director of the Children's Music School T.N.Dementieva for the opportunity to sing in a concert hall without a microphone and to feel the contact with the audience, as well as thanks her wonderful team for their endless love for choral art and dedication!
