Universal values bringing nations together

On 24 December, the third exhibition of the JINR Artists' Club "Quarks" opened in the JINR Cultural Centre "Mir". This time, it was called "Fairy tales of the peoples of the world".

The paintings are presented in various techniques. The canvases are painted in watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic, gouache and graphics. Plaster, papier-mache, decorative elements and lighting are used in the exhibits.

At the opening of the exhibition, Head of the Social Infrastructure Management Office Andrey Tamonov highlighted that there are many creative people at our Institute that realize themselves in science, but can also show their talents through art. Therefore, organizing such a club is important and useful. Each exhibition discovers new authors, presents new techniques and images and certainly, surprises with something. And this time, it would seem, there is little that unites science and fairy tales, but these are the very universal values that unite nations. The JINR Artists' Club "Quarks" has been functioning for three years, during which time dozens of the Institute's employees have found the opportunity to work with various artistic materials, to discover their abilities in drawing and painting and to create decorative expositions.

The exhibition is open until 19 January. Working hours: Tuesday - Sunday - from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday - day off. Admission is free.
