Festival with a view of a winter fairy tale

This year, the traditional sport climbing festival was held for the first time in the new building of the climbing wall. Due to the fact that this building is entirely under the control of the Dubna Sport Climbing Club, preparation for the competition was carried out in more comfortable conditions and the result was of higher quality.

The entire climbing area in the new hall is covered with a special soft safety mat, so the competition this time was organized entirely in the bouldering discipline. 50 routes of various difficulty levels were prepared. 38 participants from different cities of Russia, from beginners to masters of sports, were able to find many interesting sport climbing problems for themselves and to try out different ways to solve them. After all, contrary to the prevailing idea that the main thing for sport climbing is to have strong arms and strong fingers, in fact, you need to be able to mentally break down the route into separate movements with the optimal positioning of the body in space on each of the sections. This is not easy for everyone.

It is no coincidence that Leonid Grigorenko, not only a candidate master of sports in sport climbing and mountaineering, but also a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, took the first place among JINR employees.
