Cognitive summer - a meaningful life

Several new tourism projects that are currently implemented in our region will allow to spend the summer in an interesting, fun and beneficial way for the intellect. The programmes are developed for adults and children, taking into account addictions and passion. They allow you to plan your own trips.

Moscow + Moscow region

At the beginning of the summer tourist season, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Moscow Region and the Committee for Tourism of the City of Moscow launch a new interregional project "Moscow + Moscow Region, two rhythms of an ideal journey." With it, one can plan one-day or a longer trip with a visit to the main attractions of the Moscow region. Now, the first multi-day thematic routes are presented in the project.

"Landscapes of the Russian soul" is an immersion in the history of Moscow and Russia through the prism of architecture and literature. On the first day, it is proposed to spend in Moscow and visit the park "Zaryadye", the restaurant "Gvidon", the Tretyakov Gallery, the house-museum of I.S.Turgenev on Ostozhenka, the Writers' village. On the second day - the estate "Dubrovitsy" in Podolsk, the museum-reserve of A.P.Chekhov "Melikhovo", the Serpukhov Museum of History and Art, the museum-estate of F.M.Dostoevsky "Darovoe". On the third day - the Resurrection New Jerusalem Monastery and the Museum "New Jerusalem" in Istra, the museum-reserve of D.I.Mendeleev "Boblovo" and A.A.Blok "Shakhmatovo", the museum-reserve of P.I.Tchaikovsky and Trade rows in Klin.

"The Soviet Union epoch" sends guests to the heyday of the Russian cosmonautics and the Soviet film industry that sang the principle "a healthy mind in a healthy body." Among the attractions of the first day are the Moscow Kremlin, GUM, Kuznetsky Most Street, VDNH, Peredelkino House of Writers and others. On the second day - the Museum of Soviet Childhood in Sergiev Posad and the museum "Back to the USSR" in Zvenigorod. On the third day - Leninskie Gorki.

"To live with taste, or Food for the mind" is a gastronomic journey with special dinners: dishes inspired by eras, personalities and events, culinary reconstructions and Russian tea drinking traditions. On the first day, one can visit Moscow - a walk around GUM with a visit to Canteen No.1 and Bosco cafe, the museum of confectionery factories "Rosa Einema", lunch at the restaurant "Doctor Zhivago", Tea House on Myasnitskaya Street, a walk through the Central Market, Strastnoy Boulevard, V.A.Gilyarovsky Kitay-gorod, the play "Olivier" by the theaters "School of the modern play" and "On the trumpet", VDNH and tasting the famous donuts. On the second day, one can visit the Museum Pastila Factory, the museum "Kalachnaya" and the art station "10 Hares" in Kolomna, the Zaraisky Kremlin and the museum "Kovrizhechnaya", Eco Village in the village of Parfentyevo. On the third day - the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, Gremyachy Klyuch, the museum "Sergievskaya Kuhmisterskaya", the ethnopark "Nomad".

"Reserved territories" are places with a preserved cultural ecosystem, untouched natural areas, samples of urbanism closed in themselves, places where time seems to have stopped. First day - Moscow: Novodevichy Convent, Vorobievy Gory, Gorky Park and Muzeon, the park "Serebryany Bor" and Zhivopisny Bridge, Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo park and estate, the estate "Kuskovo". Second day - Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve in Serpukhov, Talalikhina Park in Podolsk, the park "Elochki" in Domodedovo, the park area of the Krivyakino estate in Voskresensk. Third day - the park "Pekhorka" and Pestovsky Park in Balashikha. Fourth day - the park "Skitskie Prudy" and the ethnic park "Kochevnik" in Sergiev Posad, the park "Sestroretsky" in Klin.

For schoolchildren from Moscow and the Moscow region, the project offers 8 affordable one-day tours as part of the educational and tourism project "City of discoveries".

The project is based on a unique methodology: students get an idea of the development of the industry, moving from the past to the future, that is, comprehending the process in its historical evolution. It allows them to learn about the innovative sectors of economy and choose the profession of the future. Participants can try themselves in eight areas: creative industries, digital technologies, transport and space, energy, biotechnology and medicine, ecology, urban studies and humanitarian technologies. There are several routes within these industries. Each route includes visits to high-tech companies, corporations, innovative start-ups, key industries, specialized universities, technology parks and cultural sites of the city.

For instance, as part of the ecological route, students will visit the landscape park "Zaryadie" with the largest park area, the interactive lesson "Space Garden" at the Centre "Reserve Embassy", master classes at the locations of the programme "City Guardians" and the interactive attraction "Flying over Moscow". At the ecocentre "Sobirator", schoolchildren will learn why recycling is needed, how to turn waste into valuable resources, what a child can do to help nature. Participants will be able to ride an eco-car, take part in master classes on separate waste collection. Learning about the ecocentre "Vorobievy Gory" (the only urban environmental education centre in Moscow and Russia) begins with a sightseeing tour, during which visitors learn about the city as a special ecosystem, the importance of green areas for the city - ecosystem services required for health and well-being of the citizens. Another point on the route is the Darwin Museum, one of the largest natural science museums in Europe. Equipped with the latest computer technology, the exposition is dynamic, attractive and especially interesting for schoolchildren. Participants will see the main exposition and the exhibition complex in the free viewing mode, as well as visit the interactive centre "Know yourself - know the world" and the interactive exposition "Walk the path of evolution".

More than 6.5 thousand people have already taken part in the project. Today, on the basis of the model "City of Discovery", routes have been established for three Russian cities: Voronezh, Kogalym and Tobolsk.

Summer training

"Cultural holidays in the Moscow region" - such a project has been launched in cultural and leisure institutions of the Moscow region. One of its tasks is to develop the creative and intellectual abilities of children and adolescents, to increase interest in cognitive activity, to develop communication skills and to study the traditional culture of the peoples of Russia. The project programme includes more than 150 events: master classes, open art spaces, exhibitions, video quizzes, quests, quizzes, film screenings, discussion meetings, game programmes, creative laboratories, trainings, excursions, creative sites "Open microphone" and much more. Delicious news for dessert

Ten objects from the Moscow region are included in the Top 50 best for gastronomic tourism in Russia, according to the guidebook and the most cited publication about life with taste (Art de vivre) in Russia 50 Best Tastes of Russia. The rating is based on the individual preferences of 500 experts - chefs, restaurateurs, hoteliers, investors, restaurant critics, hospitality and agriculture specialists.

According to the results of voting by leading restaurateurs, chefs, sommeliers and specialists of various areas, the best destinations in the Moscow region are recognized: the Kolomna Pastila Museum in the Kolomna urban district, the m2 organic farm in the Volokolamsk urban district, the La Ferme de Reve farm in the Kolomna urban district , the Verba Mayr health-improving centre in the Pushkin city district, the agricultural firm "Ecoderevushka" in the Kolomna city district, the country complex "Lisya Nora" in the Dmitrovsky city district, the eco-farm "Konovalovo" in the Shakhovskaya city district, the eco-hotel "Ruza Family Park" in the Ruza city district, the cheese factory of Oleg Sirota in the urban district of Istra, the Apraksin Manor in the Dmitrovsky urban district.

On 1 June, the new gastroproject "Breakfast in the Moscow Region" opened the summer tourist season in the Moscow Region. It brought together more than 140 restaurants and cafes in the region that have developed special morning menus for guests. The price of the set is from 200 rubles. Special stickers will be placed on the doors of venues that are participants in the project. The project is part of the tourism programme "Summer in the Moscow Region" and will run from 1 June to 31 August.

City routes

Baby carriages in the history of Dubna

In the Museum of Dubna, in the department of the history of the construction of cruise missiles, an exhibition "The history of the construction of a baby carriage in Dubna" has opened. It is no coincidence that the exhibition was prepared in 2023. Exactly 70 years ago, in the autumn of 1953, the first baby carriage was produced at the Dubna Machine-Building Plant. Not all samples of Dubna carriages are presented in the exposition, they are quite difficult to find. Yet, the museum staff members hope to replenish this fund.

"Mosaic Kingdom"

The Intel-Tour Company has launched a new city excursion route. The tour programme includes: a story about the history of founding the institute part of the city - "Russian Cambridge"; a walk along the Vysotsky alley, acquaintance with the mosaic of N. Leger, the work of Czech masters "Neptune" on the facade of the pool "Archimedes", mosaic "secrets" hidden in unexpected places of the city. The second part of the programme is a visit to the workshop. Guests will see mosaics in various techniques and materials, learn about the process of making mosaics, its history and secrets. Everyone can make mosaic souvenirs with their own hands.

"With love for Russia. Royal Road"

An exhibition with this name has opened in the Family reading library on the Bolshaya Volga (9 May st., bldg. 3, 2nd floor). The exposition consists of stands with photographs that reveal the life of the royal family from a non-public side and talk about love for the Motherland, service to the Fatherland, mercy, attitude towards work and family. The exhibition will be available for visiting until 8 August during library opening hours. Summer work schedule - from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday closed.

"Hot line" for tourists

On 19 - 30 June, Rospotrebnadzor holds an all-Russian "hot line" dedicated to consumer protection issues in the provision of tourist services and infectious threats abroad. Rospotrebnadzor specialists will explain what set of rights tourists have. Citizens will also be consulted on infectious threats that are relevant in foreign countries and will be informed about preventive vaccinations required when visiting certain territories. At the federal level, the Unified Consulting Centre of Rospotrebnadzor works around the clock - 8 (800) 555-49-43 (toll-free). The telephone numbers of the regional hotlines, as well as information on the working hours are available on the websites of the Rospotrebnadzor departments.
