Creative work of JINR staff

Home for artists

On 17 June, Head of the social infrastructure department of the Institute Andrey Vladimirovich Tamonov and Director of the Cultural Centre "Mir" Eleonora Robertovna Yamaleeva met with the JINR Art Club to learn about it, to get acquainted with its members and discuss issues of development and equipment.

The meeting was held in a relaxed creative atmosphere in the workshop. Andrey Vladimirovich talked to each participant and asked a number of questions. In the process of painting, the participants told about themselves, about the importance of the club, what such a pastime gave them, whether the desire to draw involved professional activities at the Institute and much more.

Thanks to the support of A.V.Tamonov and with his direct participation, the JINR Art Club has been gathering in the evenings since June in the former picture framing studio at the Nauka stadium. It is headed by Anastasia Aleksandrovna Zlobina. The motivation was her desire and ability to unite people, help them to open up and give positive emotions that are sometimes so lacking in the routine of daily affairs. Among the members of the club there are representatives of both laboratories and various services of the Institute.

To the question "why do we need a club?" the participants answered each in their own way: for some of them it was a rest after a hard day, a change of activity and "recharging", for others it was the fulfillment of a childhood dream of learning to draw and for someone else it was an opportunity to try different techniques. Everyone noted the necessity and importance of such a creative space for communication with like-minded people, exchange of experience and even education of the younger generation. Employees of the Institute sometimes come to the club with their children. Adults and children are equally involved in the creative process. In the club, everyone can get help and hear the competent opinion of professional artists.

At the meeting, issues on technical supply, premises, equipment, as well as further plans for the development of the club were highlighted. Anastasia provides not just a workplace for drawing, but a workshop that will become a special home for artists, decorators, designers, sketchers and all creative people who are ready to share their experience.

The club is open three times a week. The groups are divided according to the level of preparation of the participants. Today, in class beginners learn to draw landscapes, study perspective issues. In the club you can try different creative techniques: modeling, resin, wood carving, watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil, wood painting and much more. There will be regular master classes. A feature of the club is the complete freedom of creative thought and the absence of deadlines.

The conversation also touched upon the organization of exhibitions of works by members of the Art Club. Director of the Cultural Centre "Mir" E.R.Yamaleeva expressed her support on this issue. Also, as part of a lively discussion, the possibility of cooperation and interaction with representatives of creative professions from other cities and organizations was discussed. The abundance of ideas and plans of the organizer of the club and her like-minded people could not leave anyone indifferent.

If you want to take part in making a unique creative atmosphere, come to the JINR Art Club! To become a member, one should contact Anastasia at: knopiwe@mail.ru.
